Step Right Up!

The circus came to town Friday, May 3, at the Golf Club of La Quinta (formerly known as Trilogy of La Quinta). Conserve LandCare sponsored a tee booth at Coachella Valley CAI 2013 "Under the Big Top" Golf Tournament. 

Conserve's booth brought the circus experience to 140 golfers as they drove up in their golf carts on their way to the 18th tee box. Golfers were greeted by 2 clowns (names withheld by request), while Entrance of the Gladiators, Baby Elephant Walk, and other classic circus music played (if you haven't searched for circus songs lately and you probably haven't, you would be surprised by the size of the selection).

Players were served ice cold beer on tap, Cracker Jacks, peanuts, and corn nuts. The highlight of the booth experience was the balloon dart throw with animal head covers and golf balls for prizes.  Second thought, perhaps the real highlight was when the bulls eye target  was tossed like a Frisbee into the lake by a large gust of wind.  Luckily, the Conserve team had 2 targets and the fun continued.

Conserve's staff enjoyed meeting and talking with so many nice  players and hearing their exaggerated team scores like 20 under par.  Looking forward to next year's tournament!
